A new regulation, titled the Provisions of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department Regarding the Application for and Handling of Certificates of No Criminal Record, will come into effect on March 1st, 2019. Any prior rules regarding the same matter will be replaced by the new regulations. Note that Certificate of No Criminal Record is also known as China police certificate.
Under the New Regulation, applicants who have lived in multiple cities in Guangdong Province may file an application in one city to obtain a single police certificate covering the time spent in all the cities of Guangdong. This is a significant improvement. In the past, applicants would need a separate certificate for each city where they stayed in Guangdong in order to cover their entire time in the Province.
